Tilly has been part of the Volleyball England Talent Pathway for over a year, and was successfully selected to represent England in both indoor and beach volleyball earlier this year. She played for the U18 indoor team, competing in Spain, and the U18 beach team competing in Yorkshire.

During August this year, at an England training camp held at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering, Tilly was selected to play for the U17 England team, in readiness for the NEZVA (North European Volleyball Zonal Association) Tournament to be held in Denmark. In preparation for the international tournament Tilly along with the rest of the team had a pre-tournament training camp held at RAF Cranwell at the end of September. The camp was a residential and ran over 4 days, not only did this involve intense volleyball and fitness training, they also experienced what it would be like to live on an RAF base. During the camp due to her experience and leadership skills, Tilly was given the role of captain, a real honour and privilege at the age of 15.

On Sunday 15^th October, Tilly and the England team flew out to Denmark ready to compete against Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden. They had to play Denmark and Faroe Islands in the group stage of the tournament narrowly missing out on a win to secure their place in the finals. For many of the team it was their first experience competing for England at an international level. The team learnt a lot from the experience and are looking forward to returning to Denmark next year to secure a place in the finals and to qualify for the Central European tournament.  Results and comments from England volleyball below:

Despite taking the first set, England have been defeated 3-1 (18-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-13) in their B semi-final against the Faroe Islands.

A determined effort that came up just short on this occasion.

England U17 Women have lost 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20 in their final game of the tournament, having battled gamely over four sets.
