KS3 Year 7 |

Autumn |
Passive Speaker Project Research, Design, Model and make a Passive Speaker using their own theme. Pupils will have their own sketchbook to independently record their ideas. Pupils are encouraged to develop a repertoire of skills and practical knowledge in a confident and creative way. |

Pupils work on a rotation through Food, Textiles and 3D Design therefore this will be repeated each term |

KS3 Year 8 |

LED Lamp Project Research, Design, Model, and make an LED Lamp using a chosen theme. Pupils will have their own sketchbook to independently record their ideas. Pupils are encouraged to build upon the repertoire of skills and practical knowledge they developed in Year 7. Whilst continuing to expand their own repertoire using new skills learnt in Year 8. |

MOCK ASSESSMENT – WHOLE DEPARTMENT Pupils will put together a mock portfolio based around a set or chosen brief. This will compile all 4 assessment objectives and be moderated across the department. |
KS4 Year 10 |

Project 1 The pupils' chosen theme will encourage them to look at their checklist in detail to create a personal and meaningful response. Pupils should gain understanding into their chosen brief by research, specific artists/designers/sculptors, sketchbook layout and construction. First hand observations. AO3 Artists/IDEAL analysis AO1 Maquettes/techniques/processes AO2 Pupils must work to a strict deadline and all work will be marked and finalised as a department. |

Completion of Component 1 A portfolio that shows explicit coverage of the four assessment objectives. The portfolio must evidence the journey from initial engagement to the realisation of intentions and a selection of further work undertaken during the pupil’s course of study. AO1 AO2 AO3 AO4 Pupils will continuously work on sketchbooks and develop outcomes while acting on feedback given by Teachers. All pupils to utilise sessions provided within the Department to improve and finalise individual outcomes by December. |
